In the warm sunshine of November, the 13th sports meet was greeted by the joy of teachers and students of Lanbowan School.
Running for 12 years, the school has fully implemented the education policy of the party, insisted on innovative education philosophy of "running an excellent school to cultivate elites for the times", applied scientific management methods to greatly strengthen the modernization of education, keep enhancing the education and teaching level. It has formed a good school style, class style and learning style and won extensive recognition from the society. All teachers, students and employees of the school fulfill their duties and strive for progress, promoting the leaping development of the school. Under such a thriving scene, we have prepared and held the sports meet in order to enrich the campus life, greatly promote the sports activities in the school and further strengthen the physical quality of the students and their collective cohesiveness.
Sports work is an important component of the national education policy as well as an important part of the school's spiritual civilization construction. The school has systematically implemented its plan of physical education. On the basis of completing the learning contents specified by the physical education standard and meeting the teaching quality requirements, the school has actively developed school-based physical education courses such as badminton, football, swimming and chess, which have achieved initial success up to date. In the "three chesses" competition held last semester, the school took the second place for total score of teams in the western area. In the third swimming competition of primary school students of the western area held in October this year, the school won the championship for total score of teams, which was also the third straight year for our school to win the championship in the item. In the badminton competition of the city held two weeks ago, our team achieved a good performance. In the ongoing third football league match of primary school students of the western area this week, our team has defeated the rival with a high score and won four victories in succession and entered the semi-final game one round in advance. We are confident to win the championship in the football league match this year. With the above achievements, the school is more determined to support and develop the school-based physical education courses to provide the students with a broader stage and make bigger achievements.
At 9:00 am, the opening ceremony officially kicked off. All teachers and students arrived at the playground. The originally quiet playground was bustling with noise and excitement at once. The sports meet was an annual event with passion and improvement. It was an event of inspiration, exhibition and practice which was favored and participated by the students enthusiastically. As the sports meet was officially started, the whole playground was boiling with loud cheers. Look, the students in the 50-meter race were running from the starting line like rabbits and rushing across the finishing line like an arrow, which won cheers and applause from the audience. The students participating in the race received praise and encouragement from the audience. In their heart, these athletes had give a play to a sport spirit of tenacity and struggling hard. They were heroes on the playground. Look, the athletes at the long jump field. They were also showcasing their best performance. To make a better performance, they tried their best and would not give up even when they failed. They took firm strides towards the target and made jumps one after another. This kind of spirit of surpassing themselves was a great fortune and a solid cornerstone for them to reach higher and farther in the life journey. The climax of the sports meet was 4x50 meters relay race. The team of each class were running on the track, and their classmates cheered them on. The atmosphere at the racing course hit the summit.
On the playground, inspired by the spirit of Olympics, the athletes and head teachers moved towards the Olympic spirits "higher, faster and stronger". Adhering to the sportsmanship of "Friendship Comes before Competition", they tried to make a good performance and show their style, exhibit the good sports atmosphere and spiritual outlook of teachers and students of the school.
After two days of fierce competition, the sports meet was concluded victoriously with all competition items finished. Finally, the first place of each grade was respectively taken by Class 3 (Grade One), Class 5 (Grade Two), Class 3 (Grade Three), Class 6 (Grade Four), Class 1 (Grade Five) and Class 5 (Grade Six).
The sports meet was a concentrated test to the sports level of the school, an exhibition of the achievements made by the school by fully implementing quality education and actively organizing sunshine sports activities and more a comprehensive reflection of the collective image, competition awareness and struggling spirit of each grade and each class. All athletes were engaged in the competition with high spirits and an indomitable spirit. They had highlighted their style, made a good performance and enjoyed the limitless joy from the sunshine sports. All judges decided the results fairly and equally and served the sports meet with considerate and thoughtful work.
